Viral Videos Shows Miamians Do Not Understand Moose
Hernandez moved to Anchorage, Alaska last September to be with her husband, a member of the Air Force.
Apparently native Alaskans were aghast when she spotted a wild moose and decided to up an pet it. The northern beasts can get quite aggressive when startled.
"I start thinking to myself," Jason Blake, the onlooker who shot the video, told the Anchorage Daily News, "what do I do if this thing stomps on her? I have my kid with me. I'm concerned with what he would see. And how would I help her?"
"It could easily have been a moose that was less tolerant," Gino Del Frate of the Department of Fish and Game said. "People don't understand how fast and hard a moose can kick."
Hernandez isn't that happy about her new found viral video fame, or being immortalized as "the crazy lady trying to pet a wild moose" on YouTube.
Of course, the story does come back to Miami. Hernandez says she got a call from her abuela who yelled at her in Spanish.
