Ann Coulter Disses Marco Rubio During VP Talk

Well, at least one prominent Republican doesn't want Marco Rubio running as the party's VP candidate. Always polarizing pundit Ann Coulter was on ABC's This Week yesterday, and she said that picking the exciting but still unproven Rubio would be a "mistake."

"I think that would be a mistake because the same people who loved Rubio loved [former presidential candidate and Texas Gov.] Rick Perry," Coulter said. "I want someone who's been a bit more tested."

The be fair, Rubio probably isn't popping pain pills before debates like Perry.

Rubio has been surrounded by VP buzz practically since the very moment who was elected as Florida's junior senator. Even all-but-presumptive nominee Mitt Romney has mentioned Rubio as a potential candidate.

Though, he's denied that he has any interest in the job, sometimes it seems like his actions tell a different story.

Several commentators suggest Rubio could help the GOP with Hispanic support. Recent poll numbers tell a different story. A Romney-Rubio tickets would actually lose to Obama-Biden among Hispanics. Surprisingly, only Jeb Bush has helped the GOP get over the hump with Hispanic voters in recent polls.

Of course, we all know how Coulter feels about ol' Jebbers.
