You all are dirty! On Wednesday we asked Riptide readers to come up with the most vulgar possible name for the Miami Marlins' technicolor home run statue. We waded through the comments both here and on our Facebook page. After scrubbing ourselves clean in the shower with a wire brush to remove some of the filth, we've picked our six favorites and our now leaving it up to you to pick a winner.
We'll leave the voting up until Monday morning and announce the winner shortly after.
Blame also goes to the idiots and lobbyists at the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and the black controlled Miami Chamber of Commerce for stupidly believing the lies from the Marlins.
The Chamber officials and members helped the Marlins steal over $3 BILLION from the taxpayers.
Too bad Norman Braman could not overcome the corruption in Miami-Dade County and stop the Marlins deal scam.
Remember who helped the Marlins screw the taxpayers. Dimbulb Bruno Barrerio. Joe Martinez, Dennis Moss, Michelle Spence-Jones, disgraced Manny Diaz, recalled Carlos Alvarez, Joe Sanchez, indicted Angel Gonzalez, Marc Sarnoff and the corrupt George Burgess.
You act like Norman Braman isn't corrupt himself. If he thinks he can do a better job, then why doesn't he run for office himself. The guy is a coward, who talks from the sidelines and hides behind his money.
Before the March 2000 session, Rubio was hardly the scorching conservative who would later woo Tea Partiers nationwide. He said he'd focus on supporting early education and community policing. And he wasn't particularly passionate about cutting spending. In his first three years, he supported adding a $4 surcharge to cruise tickets to fund a Marlins stadium and a $1.2 million earmark to build new bike paths in his district
Don't forget Miami commissioner Marc Sarnoff voted to approve the Marlins deal. Same guy who acts like he works for illegal billboard company Clear Channel.
$3 BILLION. Recalled ex-Mayor Carlos Alvarez and disgraced ex-Mayor Manny Diaz and a majority of the dimwit commissioners are responsible for diverting over $3 BILLION from the taxpayers to bondholders to benefit the foreign owned Marlins.
