LeBron James came out to one of his first standing ovations outside Miami last night in a long time on The Late Show with David Letterman, and in New York City of all places. Guess that ring really did do wonders for his image. Of course, once everyone sat down, Letterman wasted no time time flinging tons of questions about Cleveland at the MVP. Watch the full interview below.

"Well, now that you've got this out of your system, are you ready to go back to Cleveland and play some ball?'' Letterman asked right off the bat.

"Right now, I'll play no ball right now,'' LeBron said while laughing the question off.

A little bit later Dave asked if winning a ring in Cleveland would have felt any different. Replied James: "I think, the feeling that I had on Thursday, I could have been on Mars and won that championship and felt amazing."

All in all though, given Letterman's notorious disdain for certain guests, LeBron got off pretty easy.
