What can $7.3 million buy you nowadays? How about 459 pounds of cocaine?

That was the amount seized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection on May 29 at the Miami Seaport. CBP officers discovered 169 bricks of coke in eight cardboard boxes in a shipping container. The container came off a ship that had originated in Panama and made stops in Mexico, Colombia and the Dominican Republic before docking in Miami.

It's the biggest drug bust of the year so far in Miami. Last October, Miami-Dade police caught a British teenager with 30 pounds of cocaine at Miami International Airport.

No arrests were made at the port in connection with the bust, the agency says. The case remains open.

As CBP press officer Elee Erice told Riptide: "There's not a whole lot that gets by these officers."
