Construction on the home began in 2008, near the bottom of the real estate bust. First-time developers Shlomy Alexander and Felix Cohen built the property with the express purpose of selling it, and originally put it in the market for $60 million. The price was slashed to $52 million earlier this year, and has now sold for $47 million.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the deal to sell the ten-bedroom home has been in the works for six months and is being completed in cash.
The home comes with custom furnishing, a wine cellar that can only be accessed by fingerprint, an art vault, and a 3D-projection movie theater among other amenities.
