Condoleezza Rice and Marco Rubio Are the GOP's Golden Tokens

Uncle Luke, the man whose booty-shaking madness made the U.S. Supreme Court stand up for free speech, gets as nasty as he wants to be for Miami New Times. Today, Luke explains how minorities rise up the ranks of the GOP.

During her speech at the National Republican Convention last week, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said her parents made her believe a little black girl from Jim Crow-era Birmingham could grow up to be president of the United States.

That might have been a statement of her ambition. What she forgot to mention is she is a sellout.

In fact, Rice joins U.S. Senator Marco Rubio on the list of prominent Uncle Toms shucking and jiving the great "American" values of the Republican Party. They get to play the role of token minority GOP celebs in exchange for a spot on the national stage during the convention and the promise of a presidential run in 2016 or 2020. Heck, Rice even got one of the first female memberships at the previously all men's Augusta National Golf Club for her tokenism.

Rice is one of those black people who want to be the only African-American partner in a big law firm or a big corporation's board of directors. These bourgies climb up the ladder by never complaining about racist comments in the workplace. Their bosses will test them by making some racially insensitive joke about people in the hood being lazy and depending on government money. If the black employee doesn't get offended, he's an official member of the Whitey club.

But the black person who speaks up against racism in the workplace is marked for termination.

For instance, my wife and I had a family friend staying with us last year. She got a job with a national copy machine company that has a contract with the top university in town. One day, she was on a conference call with her bosses and the university employee who is the liaison with the company.

She heard him say, "tell the niggers from Liberty City to pick up the old copiers." Being from Atlanta, where there is a large well-educated African-American population, she was shocked and complained about it to her boss.

Even though the company recruited her, her boss fired her. You're never going to hear Rice tell the media or her party members that she was offended by the delegate who was kicked out of the convention for throwing peanuts at a black CNN employee and saying, "This is how we feed animals."

And you're never going to hear Marco Rubio publicly condemn the GOP's anti-immigrant laws in Arizona and Alabama that target Mexicans looking to escape a violent drug-fueled civil war in their country. Rubio forgets Mexicans are Hispanics just like his people who have fled and continue to flee a violent Communist dictatorship.

The GOP is trying to make it seem that the party is united. That is so far from the truth. The old guard Republicans and the Tea Party are split. Most Tea Baggers hate Mitt Romney because they know he's a waffler.

Trotting up tokens is not fooling minority voters into casting their ballots for the Mitt Romney-Paul Ryan ticket. A recent NBC/Wall Street Journal poll shows Romney has ZERO support among African-Americans. A USA Today/Gallup poll has Obama leading 66 percent to 25 percent among Hispanic voters.

We know the Tea Party is the Ku Klux Klan in disguise.

Typical : liberal rag, only thing its good for is to cover the botton of a bird cage

Wow, this column has so many fallacies, lies, and general dishonesties that I don't even know where to begin. How is Condi Rice a "token" for the GOP? She is one of - if not, THE top leader of the Republican Party on issues foreign policy. Most GOP FoPo advisers are deeply influenced by her stances and expertise on the Soviet Union. To say that she is merely a prop, or a token for the GOP is insulting to her intelligence and past accomplishments.

I can't believe I wasted a few minutes reading this trash. Pray tell, how is the Tea Party the KKK in disguise? So, since they oppose Obama's insane spending, abandonment of the Constitution, and record levels of federal government corruption, they're RACIST?!?! You need to read up some more, pal. I am in no way stating the GOP is infallible, because that party has plenty of flaws as well. Please look up (on a fair and UNBIASED source - perhaps Forbes or AP) and read just how much Obama has added to the federal debt. This is the MAIN reason the Tea Party heavily opposed President Obama. Keep in mind, this "KKK Tea Party" that you speak of firmly supported African American Allen West win his Congressional seat in FL in 2010. They have supported other minorities in elections, and are currently helping another black, Mia Love of Utah, in her campaign effort.

Simply put, I cringed when I read how ignorant your column was - stop regurgitating what the media says. Please open your eyes and READ from other sources.

I would love to talk to you, Uncle Luke. In the meantime, please read up on Thomas Sowell. I'm confident he can point you in the right direction.
