Luis Suarez, 26, and Ariel Rodriguez, 27, stand charges of grand theft, residential burglary and dealing in stolen property.
Back in May, the pair allegedly stole about 500 canaries from the Miami home of an 87-year-old man. We're not even sure how that heist would go down, but apparently it was worth their time. The canaries had a street value of about $15,000 total. The two then sold the canaries to three separate pet stores the following day.

According to NBC Miami, after learning their crime had hit the mainstream they contacted a lawyer. He contacted MDPD, and the two decided to turn themselves in.
Suarez is being held on $40,000 bond. Rodriguez is being held on an unrelated warrant case, and no bail has yet been established.
