I'm glad that the Chik-Fil-a in FIU was empty, clearly there is a correlation between higher education and religious views. I am really upset with the ardent support of Chick-Fil-a today. I think this argument has been mis-framed. Somehow this became a religious issue and therefore people of the same religion are taking offense and "supporting" them. It's not about what the President says, it's about the organizations he donates the Company's money to. They think that gay people should not have the same rights as you and me. That they are somehow less than human, an "abomination." I agree 100% with his right to have a company, use his profits any way he wants, and for you to eat there and give him your money. I for one, will not have a single red cent of mine go towards organizations that discriminate against our family members, co-workers, and loved ones who want what America has promised them, the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (even if it is with another person of the same sex). And if you don't have the courage to stand up for those you care about or your fellow citizens. Or if you put your desire for a delicious chicken sandwich above the rights of your friends and family, I won't think any less of you, maybe.
