Alfonso Gerard Lucas went on a murderous rampage last night in Miami Gardens, police say, leaving his 42-year-old ex-girlfriend, Terrilyn Gray, and her dog dead. Lucas also stabbed his ex's 22-year-old daughter, but the daughter was able to escape and call for help.

According to WSVN, Lucas entered Gray'ss home on the 4500 block of Northwest 180th Street in Miami Gardens last night right before 10:30 p.m.

The victim's daughter, Cutina Gray, tried to interfere but was stabbed herself. The family dog, a boxer, was also stabbed in the fracas.

"She was saying that he was stabbing her mom and she was trying to help and the dog got stabbed," Lesha Morre, a neighbor, told WSVN. "He chased her and he was stabbing her and we know she was in the bushes on the corner of the house."

The daughter was able to catch the attention of a passing driver and hitched a ride to a nearby convenience store where she called police.

Police arrived to find both her mother and the dog dead. The daughter was transported to the hospital, but has since been released.

Lucas later turned himself into police. He has not been charged as of yet, but the investigation is ongoing. Police are not searching for any other suspects.
