Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada Were Officially Divorced This Morning

Former NFL player Chad Johnson and Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada were officially divorced earlier this morning. The two had only wed over the July 4th weekend following a romance that was chronicled both on Lozada's VH1 reality show and in the gossip press, but Johnson was arrested just weeks after the wedding for allegedly head butting Lozada after she found a receipt for a box of condoms in his car.

The divorce was finalized in a Broward Court today according to Gossip Extra. The two had only been married for a total of 67 days.

"There was nothing to it," Michael Gilden, Lozada's lawyer told Gossip Extra. "There was no argument, nothing. There was a pre-nup that'll remain private."

Lozada filed for divorce just days after Johnson's domestic battery arrest. In a teary interview with Nightline, she said there was no chance for a reconciliation.

"I don't think any woman should ever have to feel like that or be fearful of her husband," she said.

Johnson however appeared to hold out some hope that two would get back together. He even went as far as getting Lozada's face tattooed on his leg.

Johnson has since pleaded not guilty to the charges levied against him.
