We're getting hit with presidential polls every day now, but every once in a while a little bit of data comes along that perfectly sums up the general mood of this election.

A recent poll of likely Florida voters taken by Fox News found that a full 25 percent of Floridians who say they're voting for Romney are only doing so because they don't like Obama. Just half say they're actually voting for Romney because they "strongly favor him." Nearly 3/4th of the president's supporters say they're voting for him because they strongly favor him without reservations.

Here's the breakdown from the Fox Poll [PDF link here]:

Ouch, that's a big enthusiasm gap. I think The Onion put it best when they wrote during the RNC, "Best They Could Get Accepts Republican Nomination."

It shouldn't be a surprise though. It's not exactly a new criticism that Romney has run his campaign as a referendum on Obama, rather than putting his forth his own detailed agenda. Likewise, the right wing in general, both politicians and their media allies, have spent the past four years tearing Obama down more than they have building their own ideas up. So it's not hard to figure out why so many Romney voters are fueled by their dislike of the President.

The poll, like most others taken in the past few weeks show Obama with a slight lead. He's up 49-45 against Romney in Florida.

Obama has a staggering 19-point lead amongst women in Florida, 57-38. He also has a 21-point lead among Hispanics in the state.

The poll also finds that Senator Bill Nelson is up a staggering 49-35 against Republican challenger Connie Mack IV.

The blockage of the Veterans Job Corps Act, a bipartisan effort authored by Senators Murray, Burr, Boozman, Heller and Toomey, should outrage all Americans. This bill was smart bipartisan policy that would put veterans back into service for their communities as policemen, firefighters and first responders. The result of today’s vote creates tremendous doubt that this Congress will be able to pass any additional veterans legislation in 2012. Iraq and Afghanistan veterans should not have to wait until 2013 for critical support from
