Marco Rubio's Daughter Released from Hospital Following Golf Cart Crash
Luckily, Amanda has now been released from the hospital, and is expected to make a full recovery.
Amanda Rubio, the rising star senator's eldest child, was somehow involved in a golf cart accident inside the Rubio's gated Miami-Dade community on Saturday afternoon. The Miami-Dade Fire Department responded to the scene, and Amanda was airlift to the Children's Hospital where she was treated in the intensive care unit.
Senator Rubio got word while he was with Romney in Kissimmee, Florida. He eventually caught a ride home with a state trooper.
Amanda was released from the hospital last night, after having been diagnosed with a concussion. She's expected to make a full recover.
"Senator and Mrs. Rubio are grateful for the many messages of support and prayers for their daughter," read a statement from the senator's office. "And they are grateful to the Miami-Dade Fire Department and the staff at the Pediatric Trauma Center at Miami Children's Hospital for their excellent care."
