Marine in Tutu Beats Up Disabled Vet Thinking He Was Wearing a Disabled Vet Halloween Costume

Christopher Dabney certainly isn't feeling like one of the few and the proud this morning. The 22-year-old Marine was arrested in Gainesville early this morning while wearing a pink tutu after beating up a man he thought was dressed in a Halloween costume poking fun at disabled veterans.

The man actually was a wheelchair-bound Marine vet, however.

According to The Gainesville Sun, the incident happened at 2:30 a.m, outside of a Pita Pit restaurant. Dabney spotted 35-year-old Daniel Priotti and just assumed he was wearing a disabled vet costume complete with a wheelchair. He started calling Priotti a fake and hit him twice. The blows were so hard they knocked Priotti out of his wheelchair. Priotti, who is paralyzed from the chest down, was unresponsive for at least ten seconds after the attack.

Pita Pit employees had to jump over the counter to stop the attack, and afterward Dabney attempted to leave.

"As he was leaving I stopped him and said, man, you have to own up to this. You just hit a handicapped person twice. You made him fall over," witness Alejandro Lemoine told The Sun. "Another guy came out -- there were enough people that he didn't get away with it."

Dabney now faces charges of abuse of the disabled.

Marines, sure they can fight but they are still brainwashed by the military so its hard to take them seriously. All this oo-raah bullshit and being tuff, its like a cult. Do that on your own without being brainwashed first, do it all alone, no marine friends or other crutches  and I`ll take you seriously. Its like all other things people flock to, they cant handle life alone so they join someone else. I am 100% alone and I know it takes alot more to survive alone.

After consideration I should not have said cowardly.  I apologize to any Marines that might have been offended.  What I really meant to say is that Self control seems to be missing among many Marines and I doubt they have been trained in actual self control.  This man showed no control at all and this is where I have seen a lot of Marines go wrong. This is why I believe that man is a coward to try to run away an not face up to his actions.  Marines are taught about honor. Where is the honor in this?

I didn't know that Marines were so cowardly that they wouldn't face their own responsibility and stand up for what they do.

@Frmf We are hearing a lot of things about what he did was wrong by doing what he did but we are not hearing of what Priotti might have done (not saying he did) to provoke this. There is a lot of rumors going around that Priotti has been claiming that he is a disabled vet from the war. Yes he is disabled and a vet. I spent many years in the Corps and have seen lots of people attempt to get a hand out form many different branches by playing the war vet card in many ways. We have to look at both sides of the story before passing full judgement.

@AngryMan  @Frmf Really? You want to know what the disabled guy in a wheelchair did to provoke being hit and knocked out of his chair?

What other side of the story would justify this in your tiny little mind?
