Here's Your Reminder to Not Shoot a Gun Into the Air Tonight

Twice a year, during the Fourth of July and New Year's Eve, the City of Miami and Miami-Dade County have to constantly reminding everyone in town NOT  to shoot their guns off in celebration. Actually, a news conference held last week highlighted the Rickia Issac Foundation's 14th annual No More Stray Bullets event. Yes, 14 years of reminding people not to shoot their guns into the air, and apparently that's not enough. Because every few years, someone ends up getting killed by a stray bullet in Miami.

"This year it's more important in light of what happened in Connecticut. You know when you have guns in the hands of people who can't handle them, it's horrible. So we are appealing to the people to don't do it," Miami Mayor Tom├ís Regalado told WSVN.

Police are asking anyone who hears gunshots or sees someone about to shoot a pistol into the air to call 911 immediately. Because when it comes to everything -- including bullets -- what goes up must come down.

But in case you need a few final reminders:

Don't shoot your gun into the air tonight.

Don't shoot your gun into the air tonight.

Don't shoot your gun into the air tonight.

Don't shoot your gun into the air tonight.

Don't shoot your gun into the air tonight.

Actually, don't shoot your gun into the air any night.

If only all the idiots that shoot guns in the air on days like today would just do us all a favor and shoot themselves in the face!
