Sometimes it seems the Marlins and Dolphins are trying to pull one big joke on South Florida, and now it appears the Marlins are set to recycle one of the Dolphins biggest punchlines.

Pat White, a name synonymous with Bill Parcells' crappy draft picks, has been offered a minor league contract with the Marlins. Update: Apparently he has accepted

White was drafted in the second round in 2009 under the Parcells regime. He had minimal impact, and ended up being cut before the 2010 season (though, not before walking away with at least $2.4 million guaranteed on his contract). He then spent a short time in baseball under the Kansas City Royals, but ended up retiring. He returned to football for a short time as quarterback for the UFL's Virginia Destroyers, but ended up getting cut there as well.

Yesterday, White told 640 Sports that he had been offered a minor league contract with the Marlins. You know, because the Marlins now have a BOOMING farm system.

Though, White isn't sure whether to take the offer. The multi-sport athlete also told the radio station that he'd like to take another shot at the NFL if a team would give him a chance.
