Around 4 p.m. today, Florida governor and über-tool Rick Scott popped into the City of Miami Commission meeting to say "hello." Why? We assume because it's never too early to start campaigning for re-election.

Introduced by Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, Rick Scott spoke for about 30 seconds to tell everyone how awesome Miami is.

"I wanted to say hello. I came by to see the mayor. You've guys have been doing a great job. I've done seven trade delegations around the world, and the first place they want to come to is Miami. Everyone wants to visit Miami."

Scott also congratulated the city on keeping its crime rates low, adding, "Jobs are coming back. Housing is coming back."

The governor's visit today comes on a day that all of the world seems to be watching and waiting to see how the commission will vote for on two resolutions that could effect the second weekend of Ultra Music Festival.

After Scott stepped down from the podium, Commission Marc Sarnoff, who introduce the resolutions on Ultra, said, "I was concerned. I thought Commissioner [Frank] Carollo was bringing him for Ultra. I feel better now."

Sarnoff has been getting bombard by Ultra fans with letters and calls, so we understand his "concern." Still, Carollo wasn't going to let Sarnoff off the hook.

"You didn't get the email," retorted Carollo. "You've been getting everyone else's."
