Miami Heat Won't Be Able to Watch Super Bowl and LeBron Isn't Happy
Well, that story has come true for the Miami Heat. NBA scheduling has effectively made it impossible for LeBron and co. to watch the big game.
The Heat will be in Toronto on Sunday for a 2 p.m. game against the Raptors. Clearly the NBA doesn't schedule any games against the Super Bowl, and Heat fans will be able to watch both games that days. The players will miss out.
Instead they'll be showering and trotted out for the media like always, and then the team will be hitching a flight back to Miami. They also have a game scheduled at home the very next day.
"How disgusting is that?" LeBron told reporters yesterday about the situation. "If the Cowboys were in the Super Bowl, I'd stay there for the game."
Unfortunately, Mickey Arison won't spring for satellite TV and inflight Wi-Fi on the team's charter plane.
