Udonis Haslem Would Now Like to Be Addressed Only as "Django"

Apparently Udonis Haslem was getting sick of sharing the "Mayor of Miami" nickname with Trick Daddy and Real Housewife Lea Black (in addition to, you know, the actual mayor of Miami), so he's decided on a new handle. The Miami Heat star would now like to only be known as "Django."

The news comes from ESPN Heat beat writer Michael Wallace's Twitter.

From now on, Haslem says no longer wants to be called Udonis or 'UD'. He said address him in 2013 as Django, FWIW.

Apparently someone is a big Quentin Tarantino fan.

Udonis Haslem is Udonis Haslem, and we do not wish to fuck with Udonis Haslem. Yet, isn't there some sort of rule about giving yourself your own nickname? Remember back in fifth grade when you were really into Mortal Kombat and you wanted to be known as "Scorpion," but everyone was like "LOL ... no?" Oh, yeah, us neither.

Then again, Udonis Haslem is Udonis Haslem, and if Udonis Haslem wants to be known as "Django" then it shall be so.
