Marco Rubio's Water Bottle-Gate: The Internet's Best Responses

Can't we all forget our political leanings, prejudices, ideological inclinations, and just gather together as human beings to bond over the shared experience of something this HILARIOUS happening? It's hilarious. Regardless of whether you burn pictures of Rubio for fun or tape them to your shrine, I don't see how anyone is denying the hilarious of this situation. One more time; hilarious. We good here? Cool.
Secondly, all of these comments are either attacking Marco or defending him. Damn, whatever you think of him, this isn't the particular comment section for that. There are better ways to delve into his hypocrisy and pretend he's different than the usual politician or to bust a nut over your "left wing media" conspiracies.

Clearly, Marco Rubio badly positioning his water bottle or not planning ahead/keeping it withing arms reach for the speech, while lacking forethought, doesn't make him a bad person. If you're commenting about him supporting Republicans who are probably racist against him, not the time/place. If you're making bad, mean spirited jokes about him getting dry mouth because he sucked some lobbyist's penis, as drakemallard said, that's not really clever or funny or worth saying. At the same time, you're pretty out there if, like "alexalex1990", you think this article is good evidence to add to your proof-pile of New Times being a "leftist publication." I mean, jesus. Need I repeat, 'hilarious'. Everything about it, from the way he was wiping his sweat beforehand and audibly getting drymouth, to how you can see his face struggle as he makes the decision in the moment to go for the water and  regret it right afterwards, all while handling his body movements in the worst possible way, not waiting for a comfortable place in the speech to pause whatsoever, and weirdly holding eye contact in just the wrong way, it all screams awkward beautifully. Anyone that thinks that this wouldn't be covered of it were a Democratic candidate is blind and deaf. Well, yeah, he said that on the campaign trail at obscure little stops on grainy handheld cameras, and then corrected himself. When you're running for president you say so many words per day you really need to break a glass ceiling of ridiculous to get any attention.
This wasn't during a campaign stop in front of a few hundred people. This isn't a Youtube link being passed around. alexalex1990 and company, the reason this is being covered so much is because it was on essentially the biggest night of his career thus far, with millions watching. Delivering the response to the State of the Union is pretty huge.
I don't think the fact that someone spent 20 minutes putting together a small collection of links for a tiny section of a weekly local newspaper tells very much about anything except something lighthearted and funny happening and the reaction being reasonable and whimsical. The comment section of this took things to another level and pissed me off.

The Miami New Times such as leftist publication.You sure didn't see 'em report when obama said there were 57 states or that Hawaii was in Asia .Some may accuse the right of doing the same thing,but at least networks like Fox bring both sides to debate whereas ones like msnbc and the rest of the MSM (Including this rag)just bring in thier "allies" and take cheap shots at repubs and conservative from the peanut gallery.
