Boxing Champ Adrien Broner Arrested for Biting Security Guard at Fontainebleau

At just 23 years old, Adrien Broner is undefeated in the ring and the current lightweight champion of the world, but his fighting skills outside the ring proved to be a bit dirty yesterday at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach. The boxing champ was arrested after getting into a fight at the hotel and biting one of the security guards who tried to break it up.

Around 3:30 a.m. Monday, Broner got into a fight with a man named Michael Owensby near the valet station at the front of the hotel. Two security guards rushed in to break it up, and Broner ended up biting one of the them in the forearm.

Broner was booked on a single charge of battery and released on $1,500 bond.

That link was to an Instagram photo of his mug shot, but it was eventually deleted. A few hours later, he bragged about partying with Trey Songz at LIV.

Broner has an upcoming bout against Paul Malignaggi and is using the publicity, naturally, to promote it with bizarre conspiracy theories.

"I've got something to say about what happened today. I'm going to beat the shit out of Pauletta," he told Ring TV. "He's so scared to fight me that he sent some police to arrest me for nothing. That's what happened. That's what the fuck happened. Paulie's so scared to fight me that he sent somebody to arrest me and to put some fake charges on me."
