Duke Is Going to Ruin Court-Storming for Hurricanes and the Whole ACC

How sweet it must have been for Miami Hurricanes fans to storm the court earlier this season after knocking off then-number-1-ranked Duke and signaling to the world that they were in fact contenders. Well, Duke and grumpy-ass Coach K are apparently upset about all the times they've had to endure court-storming this season, and may ruin the tradition for the entire ACC.

Currently, the SEC is the only conference that has fine prohibition court storming, but apparently the ACC will now discuss the issue. An anonymous athletic airector at an ACC school tells ESPN that he's had enough of it.

"If they don't bring it up, I promise you I will resurrect the discussion,'' says the anonymous AD.

Duke officials tell ESPN that court-storming has become a safety issue for the Blue Devils, and coach Mike Krzyzewski isn't too pleased.

"Look, do you know how close you are to -- just put yourself in the position of one of our players or coaches," Krzyzewski told the Raleigh News & Observer. "I'm not saying any fan did this, but the potential is there all the time for a fan to just go up to you and say, 'Coach, you're a [expletive],' or push you or hit you. And what do you do? What if you did something? That would be the story. We deserve that type of protection."

Of course, Duke and Miami meet tomorrow in a match that could decide the ACC regular-season champion.
