Dolphins' New Uniforms Include White Face Masks

We've known for a while what the new Dolphins logo has looked like, but the team has been much better at keeping the details of the uniform redesign under wraps. Today, the team released a sneak peek of the new helmet on Twitter. Judging from the image, we think this could be a lot more drastic than simply slapping the new logo on a slightly revamped version of their traditional kit.

Do you see that? A white face mask!

The Dolphins played their first few seasons with gray face masks but for the vast majority of their history have used the distinctive teal on the face mask. This is the first time it's ever been white.

You can't really make much else out. There appear to be a few orange strips along the side, but the photo is cropped too tightly to even begin guessing at the fate of the traditional helmet design's orange and teal top stripes.

Palm Beach Post reporter Ben Volin said he received details on what the new uni will look like, and his report on a white mask does match up. The other major change he mentions is the replacement of the Fins' traditional racer stripes for thick teal stripes with orange trim.

The team will unveil the new uniforms next Thursday, April 25.
