Until last month, 36-year-old Chad Minor was director of community development for Venice, Florida, a Gulf Coast town of just more than 20,000 people. Kellie Bricker, who is 41, worked for the same city as a planning coordinator, but both were forced to resign after they got caught getting it on in a car in the middle of the afternoon in a local park.

The two were spotted by an undercover cop May 15 at the Caspersen Beach Park. According to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, the officer spotted Minor's black Infiniti parked next to Bricker's blue Toyota near the park's canoe launch site. While the Toyota was unoccupied, the officer noticed that the Infiniti had its engine running and had sunshades covering the windshield. The officer knocked on the door and observed Minor pulling away from Bricker as both tried to clothe themselves.

A little while later, the same officer noticed the pair parked together at another park. This time they explained they had been frightened and were just talking the incident over.

The officer let them off with a warning, and neither was charged with a crime, but the officer did identify Minor as a city employee.

Bricker had worked for the city for 12 years and was paid $45,559 annually.

Minor held his job for about two years after the previous director resigned under pressure after allegations surfaced he had sexually harassed a female subordinate. At $86,900 per year, the job is one of the best-paying in the local government.

Both handed in their resignation letters May 31.
