Juror: "George Zimmerman Got Away With Murder"

jurorb29.jpg
Juror B29 was the only minority member of the George Zimmerman jury and now reveals she was the only one who tried to argue to convict Zimmerman in the final days.

Going by the name "Maddy," she gave her first interview to ABC's Robin Roberts. It will air in three parts over the next two days on World News, Nightline, and Good Morning America.

"George Zimmerman got away with murder, but you can't get away from God. And at the end of the day, he's going to have a lot of questions and answers he has to deal with," Maddy said in an excerpt released by ABC News. "[But] the law couldn't prove it."

Maddy says she was the lone holdout by the end of the deliberations who still wanted to convict Zimmerman, but realized the state hadn't provided enough evidence to convince her that Zimmerman should be convicted of either manslaughter or murder.

"That's where I felt confused, where if a person kills someone, then you get charged for it," Maddy says. "But as the law was read to me, if you have no proof that he killed him intentionally, you can't say he's guilty."

The juror, however, says she still wrestles with the guilt of letting Zimmerman off and offered her apologies to Martin's parents.

"It's hard for me to sleep, it's hard for me to eat because I feel I was forcefully included in Trayvon Martin's death," she says. "And as I carry him on my back, I'm hurting as much [as] Trayvon Martin's mother because there's no way that any mother should feel that pain."

Oddly, the interview seems to ring similar to the Onion's satirical op-ed from the jurors: "In Our Defense, These Were Some Pretty Fucked-Up Laws and We Were Ordered to Deliberate in Accordance With Them."

Involuntary manslaughter is the unlawful killing of another human being without intent. The absence of the intent element is the essential difference between voluntary and involuntary manslaughter. Also in most states, involuntary manslaughter does not result from a heat of passion but from an improper use of reasonable care or skill while in the commission of a lawful act or while in the commission of an unlawful act not amounting to a felony

It’s becoming painfully clear that the jurors in George Zimmerman’s murder trial acquitted a killer who had a history of violence, disruption and child sexual molestation.

"George Zimmerman got away with murder, but you can't get away from God. And at the end of the day, he's going to have a lot of questions and answers he has to deal with.Trayvon was the "prey" for George on that evening - and George walked. The problem is not confined to the jurisdiction of Sanford.  its all over the country but is for now anyway a purely minority position. Most of us know murder when we hear about it.there wasn't enough proof to convict Zimmerman of murder or manslaughter under Florida law.

HE GOT AWAY WITH MURDER'

Zimmerman did not kill Trayvon Martin in self defense

Who calls the police just prior to committing 2nd degree murder? Someone who is known by the police and whose father is a retired judge would be confident that there would no consequence. And if it wasn't for the outrage by the public, he wouldn't be on trial. He had a dad who could tell him how to get away with stand your ground. he was practically a student of investigations, testimony, self defense, and police-work. He knew the entire process and what had to be done in order to make it appear to be self-defense, it was practically all he spent his time on. All he had to do at that point was call police, not let them know where he was going to be, and then do the murder.”

Pictures of guns, giving people the finger, smoking pot, a teenage boy fighting (gasp) are nothing compared to having a violent criminal record for domestic violence, assaulting a cop, molesting his underage cousin, bullying his coworker, bullying his neighbors, murdering a kid, (I'm sure there are lots more we don't know about), Zimmerman supporter, I highly doubt you want the world to know the truth about your sickening george zimmerman. I always find that when someone threatens the other side with exposure, they themselves are really the ones most afraid of it

Every Negro in Florida should be afraid of George Zimmerman ... afraid for their lives ... so be prepared and ready to STAND YOUR GROUND whenever and wherever you may encounter him.

Carl, I am not defending the jury... but if you ever did jury duty you have to go by the questions and evidence presented.... so if the defense lawyer does his job better than the prosecutor and you answer the questions it could turn out that based on the law and questions asked he was "not guilty" The way shit works in America unfortunately... basically you can do whatever you want in this country so long as you have a really good lawyer.

Then why did you vote to exonerate him? "Stand Your Ground" and vote your conscience! A hung jury would have resulted in a mistrial and him being retried with a different jury. But, like Johnny said: "If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit." LOL.

Why do we not see the masses up in arm over the 1000's that are murdered around the planet every day or the 1000's that starve to death every day. You want to be pissed off about something pay attention to what your Government is wasting tax dollars on and the rights you are loosing.

Hmmm, I wish there was a way for her to hold Zimmerman accountable for his actions. If only there was some sort of system where her vote/opinion would have mattered.

to george zimmerman

"You got away with MURDER you murdering,  lying, waste of life!!"  And to me,  people might say things like,  "LIAR!
Tell us what you know you God-dammned   LIAR!!"   so stop acting  like victim, and confess, you MURDERING MURDERER!!"  "CONFESS!!" "LIAR  CONFESS!!"

You know, and, that's what people would be  come forward and tell the truth.

Zimmerman had a long history of violence, including a restraining order for domestic violence, felony charges of resisting arrest, and assaulting an officer (the charge was pled down to a misdemeanor and then closed; Zimmerman's dad was a magistrate at the time). He was bounced from a job as a bouncer for being too aggressive with patrons, the New York Daily News reported. And a family member accused him of a pattern of sexual molestation. He wasn't convicted of any felony charges, which could have barred him from a gun license, but in some societies, people would determine that such a history makes someone less than an ideal candidate for the right to carry around a hidden loaded weapon.
