Yesterday's rainfall was not normal. In fact, Miami Beach got so much rain yesterday that it shattered three separate records: the most rainfall for July 18th in recorded weather history, the most rainfall for any single day in July ever, and helped push the month to the wettest July on record for the town.

Miami Beach received 6.78 inches of rain yesterday, and the National Weather Service noted just how historic that was.

The mind-boggling thing about that monthly record is that we still have 12 more days left in the month to further break that record. At least the sun is shining today. Let's hope weather karma keeps it like that for the rest of the month.

June 5, 2009 event dumped nine inches of rain in less than three hours in Miami Beach.

City said this was a rare event.  Did they lie to me?

@internetinternet You should actually ready the article to understand that you are comparing apples to oranges.
