Some Tea Partiers Want to Recall Marco Rubio

Apparently there's a small but growing effort among Florida Tea Party members to recall their former hero Marco Rubio.

There's just one problem: You can't actually recall senators in Florida. So first they will try to get a law passed that would allow a recall election in the first place.

The news comes from the conservative National Review Online.

"They're done with him," KrisAnne Hall, a Florida-based radio host, says of her fellow Tea Party activists. "They're not voting for him and they're angry. They're angry because they feel they've been deceived."

Hall says she's working with other activists to get a state law passed that would allow Floridians to recall their senators. Yeah, good luck with getting Rubio's former colleagues in the Florida legislature to pass that law.

There's no indication that this specific effort reaches much beyond Hall and some of her associates, but it's not exactly news that Tea Partiers are angry at Rubio. They feel that the junior senator turned his back on their movement by supporting bipartisan immigration reform, and they haven't been afraid to let him know at recent rallies.

Mr. Rubio is a classic "Flash in the pan." Compare him to Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio becomes invisible, painfully average, and even less of a distraction.  The Democrats should love him.

“Marco Rubio born to Cuban exiles? Not true, after all."Marco Rubio Lied About His Cuban Exile Immigrant Background"

His parents came to this country in 1956 looking for economic opportunity. They declared at that time they intended to stay permanently. The fact that Castro came to power in 1959 makes a nice excuse to claim his parents were exiles, but it's simply not true. They came here looking for opportunity and assumed they'd be able to return to Cuba for visits whenever they could. Castro complicated the latter, but didn't change the
former.”

which makes Rubio a common anchor baby of a common economic migrant

. . with the added cop-out of claiming "Dry Foot Hot Track Status", denied to every OTHER economic immigrant coming here . . .

The question is, is this guy in over his head or not ? Am I alone in thinking he is not representing all Floridians? It's time to recall Marco Rubio or vote him out of office.

Astounding how fast these people turn on each other. Marco Rubio might be the most electable candidate they have: reformer, young, Latin, a good orator, cult of personality. But it's more important to be "pure" than to actually win. They'd rather get nothing than only SOME of what they want.

Tea party should never had anything to do with this guy. He stands for nothing, has no principles, and is a bigger mega douche than almost all politicians in Congress. All opinions of mine. I'm ashamed he went to my law school.

If they were to recall Rubio, Charlie Crist would jump into a special Senate election like Carl Lewis. Nothing would be funnier than a Democrat Crist winning a Senate seat after a Tea Party-funded recall of Rubio. That makes me smile just thinking about it.

Marco Rubio is another frustrated Cuban who exudes lack of tactfulness with the common citizen and who often relies on street theatrical elements of a sensationalist nature to gain mass appeal. The show is over brother. Get back to your TOSTONES eating days because it's HILLARY TIME and my money is on her and Clinton playing the saxophone back in the oval office!

this is a good thing for him if he ever hopes to continue his political career. the tea party is to much of a fringe radical group.
