Critical Mass Halloween Edition Tonight: Bring Your Costumes, Not Your Cars

Categories: Bike Blog

This costume might be a little too obvious.
Miami may not have headless horsemen haunting it, but our streets are pretty freakin' scary nonetheless. We've got zombies eating people's faces, sharks miraculously swimming our streets, and, of course, motorists driving like demons straight out of Hell.

So it seems fitting that tonight's edition of Critical Mass Miami will be in honor of Halloween. Ditch your car. Scarf some candy. And bring your costume. But please, be sure you can see out of that Walter White mask before boarding your bike.

Keep reading for tonight's route.

As always, the ride will begin at 7:15 p.m. at Government Center. Organizers recommend arriving around 6:30.

Tonight's ride is a straight-forward, 12-mile loop through Little Havana and Coral Gables that begins and ends downtown.

Organizers recommend printing a copy of the map, using lights (required by law), and following the instructions of bikers with orange flags.

For this Halloween edition, they also warn against wearing costumes that could get sucked into gears, or masks that will obstruct your view.

We don't want our streets haunted by any headless cyclists.

Why don't they ever ride through Little Haiti or Allapattah?  Every neighborhood needs equal love.

Bunch of stupid fucks do nothing but congest the streets and disobey all traffic laws. Why don't they do that crap at 3am when there's no cars on the street?

@Alex Alvarez what exactly are you protesting?

@Ronald Puentes Because there's no one to inconvenience at that time!
