Marco Rubio's Shutdown Solution? American Horror Story Jokes

Categories: Politicks

Apparently when it comes to the government shutdown battle over the implications of Obamacare, all Senator Marco Rubio has to offer is lame pop culture jokes. In the same day that Rubio said he will not vote for a deal to end the shutdown and raise the debt limit, he unleashed a new campaign site called "Obamacare Horror Story" through his Reclaim America PAC.

ObamacareHorrorStory_v2.jpg
To reiterate: The federal government is shut down and Marco Rubio is making American Horror Story jokes. There's not even information on this site as to why Rubio thinks Obamacare is so bad. It's just a tacky bid to get people to sign up for his mailing lists so he can pester them with fundraising e-mails.

Meanwhile, senators who are doing things beside coming up with dumb TV parodies announced a deal today that they hope would end the shutdown, raise the debt limit and save America from defaulting on its loans.

Rubio released a statement saying he's against it.

"I cannot support this deal because it postpones any significant action on pro-growth and spending reforms and does nothing to provide working class Americans even one shred of relief from ObamaCare's harmful effects."

If these elected officials want to keep their jobs, we must petition our government to make them actually do their jobs, or else vote them out of office immediately. Remember: they work for us. It's time they remember that. People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people.  Vote all of the the tea KOCH party Congress Out in Nov 2014

The 18 senators who voted against the final deal are all Republicans: Coburn, John Cornyn (Texas), Mike Crapo (Idaho), Ted Cruz (Texas), Mike Enzi (Wyo.), Chuck Grassley (Iowa), Dean Heller (Nev.), Ron Johnson (Wis.), Mike Lee (Utah), Rand Paul (Ky.), Pat Roberts (Kansas), Jim Risch (Idaho), Marco Rubio (Fla.), Tim Scott (S.C.), Jeff Sessions (Ala.), Richard Shelby (Ala.), Pat Toomey (Pa.), David Vitter (La.).

“Marco Rubio born to Cuban exiles? Not true, after all."Marco Rubio Lied About His Cuban Exile Immigrant Background"

His parents came to this country in 1956 looking for economic opportunity. They declared at that time they intended to stay permanently. The fact that Castro came to power in 1959 makes a nice excuse to claim his parents were exiles, but it's simply not true. They came here looking for opportunity and assumed they'd be able to return to Cuba for visits whenever they could. Castro complicated the latter, but didn't change the
former.”

which makes Rubio a common anchor baby of a common economic migrant

. . with the added cop-out of claiming "Dry Foot Hot Track Status", denied to every OTHER
 economic immigrant coming here . . .

Still, we know that companies that can afford to provide health insurance to their workers and yet fail to do so off-set the costs of care onto the rest of us — whether the cost of emergency room treatment that gets passed on to other consumers, or Medicaid coverage that we pay for as taxpayers. In Florida alone, more than 50,000 workers at companies like McDonald’s and Burger King are on the state’s Medicaid rolls.if we get out of all this wars we have more money to pay for health care than we could shake a stick at, but instead we go to war, go to war, go to war.

where is a provisions to cut benefits/ services and lifetime health coverage, salaries for Politicians

“the politicians are too dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it -- that that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. (They vote on their own raises, healthcare, and pension plans, and we are left with the bill. ,Members of Congress sleeping in the office are thus playing on the edge to eek out even more compensation from the taxpayer. They convert use of a space -- that we have paid for -- intended for work into living space as they avoid rent)”

The same Marco Rubio? That Talks Big but Fails to Deliver?

Spend thousands with GOP credit card

Marco Rubio born to Cuban exiles? Not true, after all."Marco Rubio Lied About His Cuban Exile Immigrant Background"

as House speaker when he spent nearly $400,000 on office renovations.

Rubio's 2010 senate campaign was fined $8,000 by the Federal Elections Committee for receiving "prohibited, excessive and other impermissible contributions totaling $210,173.09."

Before the March 2000 session, Rubio was hardly the scorching conservative who would later woo Tea Partiers nationwide. He said he'd focus on supporting early education and community policing. And he wasn't particularly passionate about cutting spending. In his first three years, he supported adding a $4 surcharge to cruise tickets to fund a Marlins stadium and a $1.2 million earmark to build new bike paths in his district

Records show Rubio sent payments to American Express totaling $13,900 for his personal expenses during his tenure as House speaker. But those payments were not made monthly. He made no contributions to the bill during a six-month stretch in 2007, records show.

One committee paid relatives nearly $14,000 for what was incorrectly described to the IRS as "courier fees" and listed a nonexistent address for one of them. Another committee paid $5,700 to his wife, who was listed as the treasurer, much of it for "gas and meals."

Rubio's spending continued in 2005 when the Republican Party of Florida handed him a credit card to use at his own discretion. While serving as House speaker in 2007 and 2008, he charged thousands of dollars in restaurant tabs to the state party at the same time taxpayers were subsidizing his meals in Tallahassee.

Rubio's wife, former Miami Dolphins cheerleader Jeanette Dousdebes, served as the committee's treasurer. In reports filed with the state, Rubio and his wife failed to disclose more than $34,000 in expenses over an 18-month period.

Marco Rubio was facing foreclosure on a Tallahassee house after missing five months of mortgage payments, according to a lawsuit filed in Leon County Circuit Court.

Marco Rubio, was paying thousands to Bovo's firm absentee voting 78,223 absentee votes, compared to 26,533 for Meek and 25,478 for Crist.

This is a real problem here and the disparity in registrations for democrats v. Repbus voters this year is astounding. Add the fraud you brought up in your post we should have FBI, DOJ investigating the results of  Rick Scott and  marco rubio”

Scott is not the only prominent GOP member in Florida with close ties to the absentee-ballot fraud machine. Consider Marco Rubio's famous U.S. Senate victory.

Helping Rubio cruise to a surprise win was a political consulting firm owned by Viviana Bovo, the wife of county Commissioner Esteban Bovo. She was paid $19,637 for "political strategy" and "consulting" by Rubio's campaign.
