$500,000 Worth of Red Bull Stolen From Miami-Dade Warehouse

How much Red Bull would one need to drink to successfully pull of a heist off half-a-million dollars worth of Red Bull energy?

That's what Medley police are asking after they discovered that about 100 pallets of the wing-giving energy drink were stolen from a warehouse over the Veterans Day weekend.

According to the Miami Herald, workers arrived for their first post-holiday shift at 7 p.m. on Monday to discover that the 108 pallets were missing, and another 20 had been left discarded by the thieves after they damaged the pallets.

The thieves even used the warehouse's forklifts to complete the crime.

Medley police believe the culprits had a key to the warehouse and were able to disconnect the alarm system.

In case you're wondering exactly how much Red Bull they stole, we found that the drink is most commonly shipped on pallets that hold 108 trays, which in turn hold 24 cans each. So all in all the thieves may have stolen as many as 269,936 cans of Red Bull, which jibes with the $500,000 estimated worth.

If you have any information about the crime, you're asked to call Medley police at 305-883-2047 or the Crime Stoppers line (anonymously) at 305-471-6160.

Interestingly, $1.1 million worth of vodka was stolen from another Miami-Dade warehouse back in July. The two crimes probably aren't related, but it would make for one hell of a party if they were.
