Homeless Woman Beaten to Death on Miami Sidewalk

lativavictim.jpg
Miami Police are searching for the suspect who beat a homeless woman to death on a sidewalk early this morning. The brutal murder has left the local homeless population and advocates shaken, and is just the latest act of ruthless violence against Miami's homeless.

The incident happened early this morning on a stretch of sidewalk along NW 17th Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues. The victim has been identified as 51-year-old Levita Anthony, a woman who was known as "Sharon" on the streets. She had been seeking services from Camillus House since 1998, according to CBS Miami. She briefly returned home to Chicago in 2009 but soon after reappeared in Miami, Dr. Paul R. Ahr, president and CEO of the homeless outreach service, told CBS Miami.

Word quickly spread that the attack was vicious.

"They stomped her head on the ground, broke her neck, all that," an unidentified person told the station.

At least one person witnessed the attack and was able to give police a description of the killer.

Dr. Ahr noted that Ms. Anthony was the first Camillus House client to have been murdered in recent memory, but it's certainly not the first attack on a homeless person. In 2012, a case involving a man biting the face off a homeless man near the MacArthur Causeway made international headlines. And Peter Rosello, the son of a Real Housewives of Miami cast member, turned himself in later that year for attack a sleeping homeless man in Miami Beach and posting the incident on YouTube.

Most Likely- IF the `privy` had not made it a public policy to view the downtrodden as worthless and a nuisance , this type `Bs`treatment , would Never happen. I hope the bast**d/s who did this to her gets his brains blown out through his anus !

In that area, it was probably either a drug dealer, a pimp, or another homeless that killed her.

This is so very sad. People have de-evolved back to a state of barbarism that it is difficult to comprehend. There is NO reason this should have happened. I can only hope that Karma comes back and serves it back to the people who did this.
