Miami Hurricanes Turned Their Weight Room Into a Nightclub
Miami's hottest club is Weight Room. Located in an old athletics building in Coral Gables, champagne enthusiast promoter Almand de Brignac Brut Golden has pulled out all the stops. This place has everything. The shouting ghost of Michael Irving, Slutty Bibises, there are birds that fly both ways, and human barbells ... you know, it's like that thing where two Donna Shalalas grab on to the ends of a metal bar and you bench press it.
OK, actually, it wasn't quite that fancy, but the Miami Hurricanes walked into their weight room for a 5:30 a.m. workout to find a live DJ and club lights installed.
Seriously though, we do appreciate any club that plays everyone's favorite Slip-n-Slide All-Stars classic.
Turn down for what? Well, hopefully any NCAA-sanctioned testing, but otherwise ...
Honestly, the University of Miami football team has done a lot of stereotypical "Miami" things in their history, but turning their weight room into a nightclub might be the most stereotypical and yet best thing they've ever done.
I wonder what they do in Alabama's weight room? Square dancing? Or just pumping in audio of Nick Saban's heavy breathing?
