Miami Reacts to LeBron on Twitter: From "Thank You" to #WadeCounty

Miami_Heat_Parties_NBA_Finals_2013.jpg
Despite an act of street art vandalism, Miamians have mostly reacted in measured respect to LeBron James' decision. Miami's most notable almost universally took to Twitter with messages full of nothing but thank yous and respect.

The only real shade came in the form of Miamians rallying back around our original superstar Dwyane Wade. (Who, you know, sadly we should remind you technically hasn't resigned with the Heat yet.) Behind #HeatNation, #WadeCounty is currently the second biggest trending hashtag in Miami right now.

Can't blame him for choosing to go back home and attempt for a championship. Good luck but Pat will do his magic for #wade county! Let's go heat!

I think LeBron is pretty smart after all, he came to Miami to build his name, fame, money, and at the end of all this, this is a business, and like most business you do what it needs to be done to make it. At the same token we have to be grateful, thankful for LeBron four years being a part of the Heat!! He did (and is doing) what it's right for him now at this point of his career. I think by him saying to the (whole nation) Miami Heat fans that he wants to go home for whatever reason that might be, that my friend is sounds a lot nicer, and he looks a lot better. It could be true to all this, but at the same time it could be a really good coverup, so he won't be hated like he was last time that he made the decision to leave his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.. So for whatever reason his doing this, like I said before thank-you for being part of our Miami Heat, for putting all your best effort into this great team, and all we (I) wish for you, and your family is the best of LUCK, HEALTH, & HAPPINESS, and if home is where you need to be say no more, go in peace and have a good life!! Thank-you again for all those happy memories, and of course we can't forget THE CHAMPIONSHIPS!!🏀🏆💰🏀❤ Let's Go Heat with or without LeBron!!👍🏀🏆🏀👏👏😊🏀🏆

Miami has the most fair weather fans for sports! Maybe the fact that the so called Heat fans were watching from outside the arena for their best comeback ever last year. Cleveland will have better attendance than Miami next year!

You all know that whatever team he signed with, he was gonna have to do a 5 year contract due to the lock out coming up. He pretty much had no choice

You are better off w/o him. Never understood all the LeBron fuss. He is only as good as the team he plays with.

Guys he didn't go home but he went for the money he wanted!!! We told he needed to sacrifice to get more good players. The other 2 were ready to sacrifice millions for this team to get better to make him better and get rings but he sold out!!! He now says I want to go home to cover up and not get hated like he did last time!!! So he will be the same guy that will not sacrifice to make the team better!!!

Miami, keeping it classy, not like Cleveland when he left, they hated him now they love him again. Gonna miss the King here, but nothing but respect for him and he will continue to be one of my favorite players. #HeatNation

Yes because we live in Miami where life doesn't stop but in Ohio if a call tips over the world stops spinning.
