Zach Brooks, Miami Native Turned NYC Food Blogger in New York Times

Zach Brooks, NYC's famous MidtownLunch blogger, is a Miami native. Before he headed off to the Big Apple and got featured in the New York Times he grew up in the 305 eating what he described to the paper as "incredibly boring" food. Way to shit on your hometown schmucko, but you don't really believe that do you?
Last year, on May 28, 2008 SeriousEats.com published an article written by Zach Brooks on Miami's Pineapple Blossom Tearoom.
And April 1st, 2008 saw Zach's own blog feature Pollo Tropical, Los Dos Palmas, and Jumbo's in Liberty City.
So we gotta figure the newspaper disregarded all the great things Zach may have said about the MIA and boiled it down to one lousy "incredibly boring" quote.
Whatever the case may be it's good to see that Zach Brooks, who graduated from Palmetto High School in 1994 (according to his myspace) has enough Dirty South Hustle in his blood to make it happen in NYC. Short Order wishes him continued success.
