"Tonight, tonight, tonight, oh oh."

That's right ladies and gents, but we're not talking about a crappy Genesis song.

We're talking about Noche Buena, and it's tonight.

So, what is Noche Buena?

Well it is a type of Mexican beer, it means good night in Spanish, and in Spain, the Philippines, Cuba, and Latin America it's a Christmas Eve celebration characterized by a family dinner traditionally held after a late mass at church.

Some traditional Noche Buena foods are lechon (roast pig), turkey, chicken, ham, rice, beans, yuca, maduros, bread, and pastelitos, with beer, liquor, sodas, juice, and water to drink.

A Noche Buena feast may go late into the night and early into the next day. Noche Buena celebrants usually open their Christmas presents at the stroke of midnight.

Happy Noche Buena!
