Morena Restaurant Lets You Name Your Own Price

Partners Hernan Caporasohe and Alejandro Maya (also from Lincoln Road's Maya Tapas and Grill) last week opened their new Morena Restaurant & Lounge. Morena brings Maya chef Hector Diaz, an Argentine/Spanish menu, Argentine/Italian wines, and -- get this -- a "name your own price" promo through February 28. Mention the promotion when making your reservation and you'll be allowed to pay what is considered a "fair price" for dishes such as Black Angus skirt steak with sweetbreads in lemon butter sauce, braised short ribs with mashed potatoes and four-cheese risotto with truffle aioli. My preferred price would be $5 apiece. Actually, that's not fair -- I mean we don't want the place to lose money. Make it $7.
