Four food-related movies -- two of which you've probably never heard of -- are up for an Academy Award on Sunday in various categories.

Meryl Streep's performance in Julie & Julia, the movie based on Julia Child's book My Life in France and Julie Powell's novel Julie & Julia, is nominated in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category.

Food, Inc., the documentary that paints a gruesome picture of how food is produced in America and has corn farmers up in arms, is up for Best Documentary Feature.

The other two films are nominated in the more obscure category of Best Short Animated Film. And they are: A Matter of Loaf and Death about a serial killer going after the town's bakers and French Roast about the troubles a man runs into at a Parisian cafe when he realizes he can't pay for his coffee. Just based on the premise we think the baker assassin has a better shot at the statue.

Other food films in recent memory that have represented in the Oscars? Ratatouille was nominated in five categories in 2008 and won one for Best Animated Feature Film. Chocolat, the story of a mother and daughter who open a chocolate shop in a small French village, offending everyone around, earned five nominations in 2001. Eat, Drink, Man, Woman, the movie about a master chef and his three daughters, earned a nomination for Best Foreign Film in 1994. And in 1988, the Danish movie Babette's Feast won an Oscar for Best Foreign Film.
