Kiss My Cocktail: Chopin Red Wine at the Raleigh

Chopin REDWINE_72[1].jpg
Before anyone got tipsy, Chopin Vodka shoved a Sharpie into the hands of Oscar winners Sandra Bullock, Kathryn Bigelow and Jeff Bridges, as well as Forest Whitaker, James Cameron, Emily Blunt, Kirk Douglas, Quentin Tarantino, Carey Mulligan, Julianne Moore, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Colin Firth, asked them to sign a 200-liter, hand-blown, seven-foot bottle. Then they schlepped the thing around and unveiled it last night at the Raleigh as part of a celebratory event.

The event was not only a celebration to recognize Frederic Chopin's 200th birthday, but also to inaugurate Seven, the Raleigh's new happy hour concept, in which guests can partake in all drinks, hors d'oeurves, and valet parking for $7. If you missed seeing the glass behemoth in person, you still have until the 14th to chase it down before it is auctioned for the GRAMMY Foundation. And, if you have at least the $50,000 expected starting bid, perhaps you can admire the bottle forever more. Imagine how many of these Red Wine cocktails could be made with that thing. Divine.
