Quattro to Open in New York City This Week
|Chef Fabrizio Carro will be helming the New York version of Quattro.|
When Quattro debuted in Miami Beach in 2006, it had identical twin chefs in the kitchen, brothers Nicola and Fabrizio Carro. With the launch of Quattro in New York, the siblings are splitting up: Nicola will run the Miami Beach branch, while Fabrizio heads to Manhattan. Chef Fabrizio says, "I am excited to cook in a new city, explore the green markets, and take advantage of all of New York's local, seasonal ingredients."
The SoHo incarnation is housed in the lobby of the 46-story Trump skyscraper. The two-story space was styled by New York-based Studio A Design with a green and tan color scheme. Between the lobby and mezzanine levels, there is seating for 150 diners. Servicing the hotel means they are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Quattro features fare from the Northern region of Italy.
Many of the lunch and dinner dishes mirror Miami's menu including baked eggplant layered with tomato sauce, melted mozzarella and basil; burrata with cracked black pepper and extra virgin olive oil; minestrone soup; braised beef ravioli with sauce Piedmontese; seafood risotto with tomato sauce; spaghetti carbonara with guanciale and aged pecorino romano; porcini ravioli with porcini truffle sauce; veal chop Milanese with arugula; branzino baked in salt crust; and seared Mediterranean turbot.
No word if The Donald will be dining at Quattro for the April 9 launch date.
