Fine Restaurants at Morningside Elementary Fundraiser Tonight (Updated)

​This coming Friday, May 7, Morningside Elementary School (6620 NE 5th Ave.), hosts its 2nd annual fundraiser dinner from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. MES, a bilingual magnate school, "wants to raise awareness about positive changes that have taken place this year, discuss future plans, and reach out to local parents and community members." The event is being held in the school's organic garden and will feature food from twelve local restaurants -- including Mandolin, Morgan's, Red Light, Soyka, and Uva69. Call 786-208-1689 for tickets or purchase them at the door for a $7 minimum donation. Foodsters, take note: Guests who have no interest except plunking food down the gullet are welcome.
