Opening Dates for Norman's 180, Burger & Beer Brickell Announced

Norman Van Aken (pictured with Emeril Lagasse) is all set to open Norman's 180 at the end of the month.

​Two new anticipated restaurants are debuting in the next few weeks in Miami.

Norman's 180, from famed chef Norman Van Aken, officially launches in Coral Gables on Tuesday, June 29, after a round of friends and family and media tastings. Expect dishes like steamed Manila clams with kabocha pot stickers, speckled soy butter and melon; pho bo with noodles, beef ribs and herbs; striped bass with black eyed peas, surrey sausage and cider creamed tomatoes; fried chicken with collards and mashed potatoes; and Homestead corn served Mexican style. There will also be charcuterie platters, burgers, homemade pate, pizza and flatbreads.

On a more casual scale, Burger & Beer Joint hits Mary Brickell Village the week of July 5. Their adjacent sports bar will start broadcasting baseball games and the like by the end of July. Look for a very tatted crew to serve you your turkey burgers at B & B Brickell, where the fare will echo the original South Beach location. Says co-owner Buzzy Sklar of their service philosophy, "We look for people with great service skills. We have a fine dining mentality for a $12 burger."
