The people in New York City really took to Scarpetta. So then I decided to spread the love a little bit, and we opened up another Scarpetta in Miami Beach, and the people seemed to like it there as well.

That's Scott Conant talking about our fair city in an open letter he published to the people of Toronto "or, "T-Dot", as I've learned you're affectionately called". He's opening up a Scarpetta in that city's Thompson Hotel, and wanted to introduce himself. A reporter in Toronto Life thought Scott was being condescending, but it doesn't appear that way to me.
