Pajama Pub Crawl In The Grove This Weekend
| Crazy Pianos, Crazy Pajamas -- could be fun |
Those who take part are encouraged to embrace the pajama theme, but organizers remind participants -- especially those coming from South Beach -- that they must adhere to public dress code and all applicable laws for public decency. A valid ID is also required, and you'll have to sign a group waiver at registration. Not sure what this is about, but it may be a means of preventing lawsuits from potential victims of hit-and-run beds. Plus God only knows what happens when a bunch of inebriated people in pajamas go crawling about. Actually we all know what happens, but, one more time: this is a public gig.
The Crawl starts at 7 p.m.; registration begins at 6:30 and continues until whichever comes first: 8 p.m. or the tickets run out. To register, go to the groovy Grove Spot (on Virginia Avenue behind Cocowalk).
A $25 donation will be asked of participants, 100 percent of the money going to the UM Sleep Medicine Program & Alonzo Mourning Charities.
Suddenly I feel a nap coming on.
