| The new cookbook from the South Beach Wine & Food Festival. |
The foreword was written by bad boy chef Anthony Bourdain, who reflects on his many nocturnal misadventures throughout Miami with stops at Club Deuce and the Versace mansion. There's also a history of the Festival, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary next February, with some fabulous photos taken along the way. The colorful cookbook reflects actual events at the Festival with chapters devoted to cocktails, barbecue, burgers and small plates. And, yes, Spike Mendelsohn's award-winning smokehouse burger and toasted marshmallow shake recipe is included in the burger section.
The Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival Cookbook launches on November 16, with a retail price of $35. Proceeds from the cookbook will benefit the Florida International University (FIU) School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and the Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center located on FIU's Biscayne Bay Campus. And in case the cookbook isn't enough to satiate you until the actual Festival, tickets go on sale starting October 25.
