Tuesday night, food truck fans gathered in the dark, dirt lot to get their grub from Latin Burger and Taco Truck, La Camaronera's Fish Box, and Sakaya Kitchen's Dim Ssam. Food trucks are becoming more common in Southwest Miami, and some, like Latin House Grill, El Paisa, Caza Crepes, and Yellow Submarine, make it their primary turf. However, other food trucks, like the ones from Tuesday night, are not usually spotted at night in "La Souwesera", so fans took advantage.

It was also an opportunity for food truck people to mingle and check each other out. Of course, Burger Beast was there, along with folks from food truck company Food Cart USA and the upcoming Sugar Rush truck. Even Miami Commissioner Francis Suarez was there. Perhaps food trucks will become so popular with commissioners that they will consider updating our mobile concession laws.
It looks like food trucks are testing the waters of regular gatherings in "La Souwesera." Hope it's true!
Update: According to the Miami Street Food Court Facebook page, trucks will gather on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights.
