​If you read Short Order, you're probably the type of person who has your Thanksgiving food plans well underway. If you are cooking, you probably have an idea of the comforting, yet gourmet, dishes you'll prepare, the ingredients you need, and when you'll cook.  If you're dining out, you have reservations or your seat at the table reserved at your chef friend's house.

However, life is certainly way too busy these days, so you might not have even realized that Thanksgiving is next week. And if you are cooking, you might need a little guidance. In that case, here are two classes for those who might be intimidated by the Thanksgiving feast.

​Turkey Day Training with Chef Jeremiah of gastroPod
Wednesday, November 17 from 7 pm to 9 pm at an undisclosed location near downtown Miami
$40/per person

Chef Jeremiah of gastroPod shows how to prepare turkey, trimmings, gravy, potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pies. This all sounds very traditional, but knowing Chef Jeremiah, there may be some fun twists or creative suggestions here. The location of the class will be revealed after you register. $85/per person

Get behind the line and learn how to cook Thanksgiving dishes under the guidance of a chef. The menu includes: whole roasted turkey, giblet gravy, pickled jalapeno corn bread, brown sugar roasted yams, sharp cheddar mashed potatoes, chestnut and sausage stuffing, and turkey breast roulade. The classes usually max at about ten people, so register early at the Two Chefs website or call at 305-663-2100.
