Biscayne Triangle Truck Round-up's New Location is Announced

There's good news today for those in Miami drooling over moving munchies. The Biscayne Triangle Truck Round-up is back on this week with a new location at the parking lot of American Legion Post #29 (6445 NE 7th Avenue, Miami). After moving from the former NE 109th and Biscayne Boulevard location after neighbors complained, one of the city's largest mobile food courts seems to have found a fitting new home.

Short Order spoke with BTTR organizer and Jefe's Original Fish Taco & Burgers owner Jack Garabedian about this new spot, "I think it's great, actually. It's going to be right on the Bay there. There's going to be a wonderful backdrop."
The 15 trucks will be parked near the lawn, overlooking the water starting this Thursday, February 3. "We're really relying on people knowing the location," he said. "It's got a lot to offer."

The meet-up will include beer and wine (for those of age) and there will be bathrooms (thankfully!). Bring your blankets and chairs and set up a pleasant evening picnic with the whole family. The food will be served between 5:30 to 10 p.m.

This event is sponsored by Casa 9 Palms LLC and Alyse (beer and wine). American Legion Post #29 is not co-promoting this event.

This is a great location for this event lots of parking, bathrooms, and home to Harvey's by the bay. A great full bar with free pool table, big dinning area, tv's and Miami New Times Bartender of the Year 2010 (Shawn).I can't wait to sample all the great food from the trucks.

Sounds like a great spot. I'm looking forward to attending. There was no place to park at the old spot.

To me convenience is a huge factor; if it's going to be a pain to get there on my way home or parking is going to be an issue, I don't see it being a regular stop for me. 109th & Biscayne was very convenient in terms of the above and that's why I attended every week. I want the option to park, get my food, and go home.

I agree with you. The spot on 109th was not only convienent, but you could spot the trucks from 1/2 mile away, which meant more people got curious and wandered over. Speaking as a Miami Shores resident... the other MS residents SUCK for fucking up a good thing.

There are parking lots for both the park and for the American Legion outpost! Not to mention street parking on Biscayne. If anything, the parking here will be more convenient and less hectic than at the old location further north.

The Biscayne Triangle event was on Tuesdays, does this mean every Thursday at this location and no more Tuesdays?

I am working on a Tuesday spot for The Original BTTR. I was hoping to have it up this week. Wanting to fill a gap that has been left by Tuesdays loss, I organized Thursdays on the Bay. Thursdays will happen each week I will continue to run both round-ups under the BTTR namesake. Naming the location to the day of the week. Hope to see you at both!!

This event will probably be the most picturesque spot for a Food Truck Round-up, right in your own backyard!! Picnic on the grass or chill down by the bay. It's going to be a Thursday favorite so start planning your week and chill Thursdays on the Bay "BTTR" Old School Style.6445 ne 7th ave 1 block east of Biscayne off 64th Look for the signs!!

Hopefully they put plenty of signage up on Biscayne, you can't see that lot from the street.
