It's a wise business move -- entertainment means people will stick around longer, and booze, of course, will make them hungry for even more munchie food. It'll also make for an average Joe's glimpse into the fancy venue, a tropical mansion on NE 17th Street that's only open as a special events venue. Beyond the food, though, the live music planned features some of Miami's most top-notch singer-songwriter types: Sol Ruiz, Jacob Miller, and guitar whiz Fernando Perdomo's band Dreaming in Stereo. They're all super-talented, but may sound even better after you visit the full bars promised as well.
Admission is free, but the event flyer suggests you RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org. The party goes from 6 to midnight at 221 NE 17th St., Miami. 305-416-5280; villa221.com.
