Miami Street Food Court Opens Thursday on Biscayne Boulevard

Last night, trucks gathered north of the KMart in North Miami and drew hundreds. Tomorrow, they will park at Biscayne Plaza, a shopping center on Biscayne Boulevard and 79th Street, from 6 to 10 p.m. They will continue to do so every Thursday and Friday.

"We started the idea on 65th and Bird," said Tania Ramirez, owner of Food Cart USA, which sponsors the street food court. "We thought, we're going to have several trucks in one location so people can come with their family. It turned out to be a very family oriented thing. We had families celebrating birthdays there."

Sef Gonzalez, AKA Burger Beast, will as usual select the trucks for each gathering. The location will also open for lunch featuring one truck per weekday.

This Thursday night don't miss El Mago de las Fritas, who will be serving his juicy Cuban burgers from the Burger Beast Truck. For those not into fritas, there will be plenty of other choices. Here's the line-up:
