Nacho Mama's Mexican Grill: Tonight's Featured Food Truck
Ted Baturin, a financial planner, and Nick Diamond, a real estate developer, both found themselves out of luck when the market took a downturn in 2008. Instead of letting themselves be beaten, these foodies who take watching the Food Network seriously decided to start the engine of their own food truck.
Thus, Nacho Mama's Mexican Grill was born.
Though the Mexican-themed food truck began as a complementary second career for the two businessmen, their passion and entrepreneurship now gets them out on the road to feed the masses at least four nights a week. According to Baturin, "It's such a cool business, so independent, free-wheeling." Literally, free-wheeling (get it?).

Baturin suggests trying the skirt steak nachos on your first visit or the shrimp burritos, which he describes as, "phenomenal." Occasionally they serve ceviche, "you gotta try it." Though the they aren't chefs, these men know what tastes good, and they use humor and their knowhow to grow their business and satiate your appetite.
To sample Nacho Mama's cuisine, head to Biscayne Boulevard and 109th Street tonight from 5:30-10 p.m.
